I would pay $$ for a co-drive in someone's car. If you or anyone is interested, please PM me. And I don't care at all if the car is "fast" or not.

Do they hold these on a semi regular basis? I'd like to attend one and see what it's all about but I'm not sure I can make this date.

Thanks.

I merely cut and pasted the event message here to try and get the magic number of attendees. I would check out here http://www.scca-lol.org/rally/rallyx/schedule.php and email someone there. Perhaps they can answer.

... I wish I had seen this earlier. I won't be available this Sunday. Hope they will do this again soon in the future.

BTW, will you guys be driving on snow? given the weather in the next few days. It might be useful to have snow tires ;).

Annnnnnd I'm number 19.

Now it really IS on like Donkey Kong. Charles, you ready to have some serious fun? Next thing you are going to buy an STI and have it prepped for rallying...

Hahaha! Someday, I'm going to have a pole barn full of purpose-built cars... track, autocross, ice racing, rallycross. Oh wait, I guess ice racing and rallycross sometimes intersect... :p

Confirmed: attendance at the Sat night school is not mandatory, but it is strongly encouraged.

I also got the actual location of "the Cannon Falls location" supplied in the info.

Just finally cleaned up the car! Great fun. A lot of good friendly folks there. Highly recommended to anybody that are remotely interested.

Awesome time when you learned to do the Scandinavian flick in a hairpin turn, and continue with a 4 wheel drift through the corner.

Will be back for more for sure.

Awesome. You should totally do the rallyx this spring/summer. Its really fun to learn a course, feel faster, and watch your times come down.

Oh, and might I suggest some snow tires? :) Although they aren't nearly as vital for a normal rallyx race that doesn't have snow. But they still help a lot for grip on the dirt.

ychanus

Definitely in my "to do" list this summer. Too bad that they don't have more Rallyx events during the winter time, since it would then make sense for me to get a set of snow tires right now.

Kinda funny if I go out and buy winter tires during summer ;).

I guess I dont know who was all there from here, but you three guys were pretty fun to watch. I think everyone was surprised at how well that Q7 handled itself out there, it was really cool to see something like that taking it to a big 180 and then pulling a subbie out of the ditch 8). Decathect, it was very plain to see you getting more and more comfortable as the day went on, you looked really fast coming back up the hill out of the 180. And Ychanus, the first few runs looked pretty scary for you, and the 'conga-line' I was a little worried for a while about the saftey of your shinny new WRX but by the end of the day you looked much more composed, even on High Performance SUMMER tires ;).
Thanks everyone who played in the snow with me, I wish those happened more often

Yeah, the first couple runs I drove with 1st gear, could not control it and was so slow to realize that. Also, I was somhow confused about the rule on the 180 degree hairpin area where I thought I needed to stop on both double cone line.. duh!

Yap, getting my car up on the conga line was a pain; but after doing that repeatedly for while, I got the hang of it at the end.
