The THIRD ANNUAL POST-MIDWAY PIZZA AND BENCH RACING PARTY will immediately follow the Midway Superhero event on Sunday October 4. All are welcome (it gets a little crowded). Bring ingredients to put on pizza or beverages if you like but there will be plenty if you just arrive. I will have maps at the event.

I'm planning on coming if I can find a spot to park the truck and trailer. Steve, anywhere around there you think will work?

If you feel comfortable with leaving the rig at midway you can probably find a ride to and from Steve's. He doesn't live that far away.

Mark,

There is a parking lot down by the lake about a block past my house (north). Instead of taking East Como Boulevard (the "service road" around the lake--my street) take East Como Lake Drive (the road down by the lake). The parking lot is the first left. By the way, the end of my street is still torn up with construction (as when you delivered the broken Birkin) and this is a way to avoid that.

Steve

THANK YOU, Steve and Amy for the hospitality and the delicious pizza! It was great to kick back and shoot the bull with everyone. Sorry if any of the pizzas I made were "interesting."

Looking forward to next year!

Thanks Steve! Good pizza and very nice party.

Thanks Charles for getting me the direction sheet, and the "interesting" pizza. Just kidding, it was very good.

The pies were unusual and great. Papa John would be proud of the effort you guys put out to put out so many different offerings. When the Birkin is workin, do you plan to expand the house to hold more MACer's for next season?

We had a great time and have a lot of people to thank. The Schultrichs brought the cupcakes, turkey sausage, and lots of vegies. Charles, Michele, Gretchen, Kerry, and others assembled the pizzas at a great rate. Steve G brought vegies, Andres provided the apples and Mark brought the Red Eye beer. And others brought cheese, beer, and various other toppings (no platypus jerky, however).

And a lesson learned--don't do math while making pizza. We made 35 pizzas (not 70).

Cheryl would also like a copy of your dough recipe.

3 1/2 cups (18 oz.) of flour (we mixed some whole wheat into about half of the batches)
1 1/3 cups warm water
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 packet yeast

Dissolve the yeast in the water, mix everything together, knead briefly, let rise about 1 1/2 hours. You can then roll it out and bake. Makes 2 1/2 pizzas the size we had on Sunday. We usually make 2.

Have fun,

Steve and Amy
