oh boy oh boy oh boy!

ValleyFair is this weekend!

Paul has volunteered to take care of worker assignments and any on-site registrations. Steve has volunteered to help with classing. I'm counting on Phil for help with numbers (please :D ) Dave and Bryon will be doing waivers.

But I still need a few more volunteers:

I would like to have at least 3 people at the waivers table (that means we need 1 more person). This is a pretty easy job and it's a good way to match drivers with their cars and get to know some more people in the club.

I would like to have at least 4 people to check in all the pre-registered drivers (which is almost everyone). This job is also fairly straight forward. I will be working that table and I need 3 more people.

These jobs require you to arrive around 6:30 for waivers, and NO LATER THAN 7:00 for registration. Please do not volunteer if you cannot arrive on time. If you volunteer for these jobs (I think) that is your job for the day, although I usually help pick cones anyway.

Let me know by replying to this post. I would really like to have this solidified by Saturday so don't wait till Sunday morning to decide. Just volunteer, you'll like it, I promise.

Thanks! Nikki

Nikki,

I'll take the waiver table job. I live close so 6:30 is no problem for me.

Nikki,

Are we going to set up the waivers at the entrance gate? My thought is that since everyone needs to go through that gate, we could have waivers there. Additionally, I have a sheet to hand out that lists the basic schedule, and some on site rules that should also be handed out as people drive in. How does that sound to you?

Additionally, since we need to control the site all day, one worker position (during heats) is Waivers Gate. We should really have someone sitting at the gate through the day in order to get any wanderers and spectators to sign.

You mean there's a 6:30 AY-EM too?!!

Jeez, my alarm goes off the first time on WORK days at 6:20, and I smack the snooze bar a couple of times.

You folks may get me without a shower first. It's tough being an "owl" in a "lark" world.

fug, that is early. i haven't signed up to help yet at the biggest event in years (ever?!) in the Twin Cities- so I better bite the bullet.
I'll be there by 7:00 (why oh why so early?) and ready to help whomever needs the help the mostest.

i like the washburn recommendation for gate worker- we'll probably have a large amount of curious drive-by folks.

This is looking good people!

The waiver table is all set with volunteers (Dave Kral, Bryon Heggestad, and Darryl Wrolson) This will be located at the entrance as Pat described. (this was the plan all along, but great minds think alike, eh?)

The registration tables will be handled by Me (nikki), Steve Meschke, Chuck Bower, and WE STILL NEED ONE MORE VOLUNTEER.

SuperPhil will help with numbers and SubaruSteve will help with classing.

Thanks (in advance) for your help!
