View Full Version : Nat's t-shirts

Thought it might be cool if all the MAC people who are going to Nationals could have a MAC at Nat's t-shirt to represent our club and stand out.
It'd be about $8 per shirt -- if I designed one, would the club be willing to pay for it? Ideally, I'd like to have the design in to the print shop Thursday, or Friday morning, hopefully having the shirts in time for next Wednesday's meeting.
Thoughts?
(This is Matt)
We're still determining whether MAC will pay for the shirts or not. In the mean time, who's interested in ordering a shirt?

I think this would be a nice thing for the club to cover, and I'm pretty sure our finances are healthy enough to handle it.
And thank you for bringing it up! I'll take a L for me and an L for Murf.
Request: Please choose a light color for the shirt, and if you're going to put a logo on the back, try to minimize the amount of solid logo so the shirt's more comfortable (for example, the relatively solid logo on the back of the blue MAC "cone" shirt does not breathe well). Maybe a logo on the front & a slogan on the back?
Thanks!

I'll second what Josh said. And we'll take a couple XXL's for Team EBS.

I assume you want the cost covered to have them printed by the club but anyone who wants one needs to pay for it?
Either way I'll take 1 XL...
I think about 40 members are making the trip...

Really cool idea!
BTW, this is only posted in the officer's forum. If you're "taking orders" regarding size, you might want to get in touch with the people going to Nats that don't have access to this forum, and/or don't happen to see it.
(Dunno about Ivan and Gretchen, but I'm an XL, and Katie's an L :D )

1 Large - great idea. Like the lighter color (light gray is always nice) and less "plastic" logo ideas too.

I don't see anything controversial in this thread, so I'm moving it into the Upcoming Events forum.

How about a "All my MAC friends went to Nationals and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" shirt for the rest of us? :(
Just kidding. Y'all have a great time and bring home a record number of trophies!

Here's the back. The front will just say
"Minnesota Autosports Club
Nationals 2009" with a little Minnesota outline next to it.
If we want orange cones, the price will go up to maybe $11/shirt. Otherwise we can just do black. Personally, I like the orange cones.
Anybody want shirts for their "crew"? Wife? kids? friends? Or anyone else that's coming to Nat's with you?
Design is going to the printer today unless we get some objections. We'll order extra shirts just in case, but let us know what you want to make sure you get yours!

Well, you never know. Maybe someone will offer me a co-drive when I get there. :D
Neither my car, nor myself are quite ready for nationals. At least if I go watch, I'll have an idea what to expect when I do decide to compete.

I didn't think I was ready for it when I singed on with Team EBS at the start of the year. I still don't think I'm ready for it, but I've had moments where I thought I might be. I'll still stick with my inital goal of not DFL. I managed that at my first NT, but not by much. But no time like the present right?
On topic: Thank you Nikki for the effort on the design and production.

There was a ST(X) Civic co-drive floating around. A few S2000 co-drives were offered to me. Let me know if you're actively looking.
We went to Nationals in our first year of autocrossing. The champions are amazing, the trophy winners are awesome, but there are still the "regular" autocrossers there to warm tires and just have a good time. You don't have to be good to have an excellent time.

Must have orange cones!
L for Ivan and M for me.
I saw a guy last night with one of those kind of light green/sage clored shirts on that we talked about Sat nite. It had a little orange in the design on the shirt that really popped against the green. What does everyone else think about that? It'd still be light, but something different from grey or white.
We also talked about yellow or gold.

Sage works for me. Definitely better than yellow or gold. Khaki or olive green would work as well.

Shirt color = "Serene Green"
They're being printed on the 2nd and we'll pick them up either the 2nd or 3rd. Since Matt and I aren't arriving in Lincoln until Tuesday night, I need someone who is arriving earlier to be a shirt distributer/ money collector.
Any volunteers?

i should have some room in the subaru, asuming i can find people to take the tires and bike. i suppose i can play shirt distributor for 2-3 days.

How much per shirt do we owe? And is it different for competitors vs. crew?
