A. What's the occasion?
B. Have you checked to see if they (ProKart) are available for an enduro either day?
If it works I could make Monday I think.

count me in.
I can probably round up some more folks (who will spank most of us) if we need more.

I just wanted to make sure there was some interest before calling them. I'll call them tonight and see what is available. I'm up here for the rest of this week and next and just looking for fun things to do ...

I called proKart. For a 1 hr. enduro, we're looking at $835/20 people equals about 43 bucks with tax.
I'm thinking Monday (7 p.m.) so that Andrew can't make it (JK). Actually I want to play squash on Tuesday so its squash over seeing Andrew...:D
Who else is in?

if there were any way to do it fri sat or sun after 630, I would love to make it happen.
Or if it were repeated in the future, I plan on quiting my lame job for something less strapping.

Sounds like we're coming up a bit short ofr an enduro. Maybe we should just plan to arrive and drive?

I am assuming that 7:00pm Monday. Which location - Burnsville or Maple Grove?

Burnsville...
If enough show up we'll try for an instant enduro. I don't know if they do that sort of thing though.

If Tim is around we can probably ask him to join us if that'll give us enough for an enduro.

What are we talking for prices for this "show up and drive"? Considering I've never done this before, but want to!

First, Burnsville Pro-Karts confirms that they have arrive-and-drive racing available all day today! (Always good to call ahead and make sure they haven't booked any last-minute special events.)
Here's the pricing structure for arrive-and-drive:
Non-member:
1 race, $20
2 races, $37
3 races, $52
Member:
1 race, $17
2 races, $31
3 races, $43
A membership is $28, but it includes one free race, so four races at non-member price is $72 (no price break past 3 races) and four races at member price, including membership, is $71, and you get the member price after that for one full year.
Races are 8 minutes long. For arrive-and-drive, they aren't "exactly" races. Everyone starts from pit lane with a couple seconds between karts. The faster drivers will catch the slower drivers.
For a first-timer, 2 - 3 races may be all you'll want to do.
Bring a helmet with face shield (or goggles) if you have one (they have loaners, too).

No, but we had some great racing! It was a quiet night at ProKarts so they were willing to grid the six of us up for standing starts. We ran weight and it was a great equalizer. In our third and final race, the top five drivers' fastest laps were all within 0.3 seconds, and we were all close on the track, too.
