View Full Version : MAC day at Midway stadium
Bob Klepperich the manager of Midway stadium told me yesterday A.M., to give him a call, that he'd get us a deal to watch the Saints play.
Anyone game?

Dwight,
I'll take 4 tickets. Are you thinking about a game during the week. Most weekends are full.

set a date and I'll let you know if we can make it, and how many seats.
maybe we could have a reserved parking area for MAC members, bring our cars, and drum up some more action for the club...

I'd be interested in two, maybe three tickets, depending on the date. Have you discussed any potential dates Dwight?
I have not discussed dates at this time, but am open for discussion.

>set a date and I'll let you know if we can make it, and how many seats.
I'm up for this, too, if we get a date that will work. These games are a lot of fun.
>maybe we could have a reserved parking area for MAC members
Not bloody likely. The lot fills with tailgaters. If you want to tailgaite, get there early. I like to bring the Suburban, face it to the west and set up a table in the shade of the truck. If you are early enough, you can set up a table up by the cable company for shade (over by where we put the timing trailler).
>bring our cars,
Sure, why not. Just remember that most of us go to the game and won't be there to watch your car. These events draw THOUSANDS of people, and even people who did not pay to park can walk through the tailgating lot (what we like to call "the course area"). There are many folks that come out early, pay the five bucks to tailgate and never get game tickets, so they can barbecue and drink beer in a party atmosphere.
>and drum up some more action for the club...
The club does not need more action. It needs more sites to handle the action we have. What did we have at MOWOG 1? 120? Wow.
Ok all. Got on the Saints web-site at, www.saintsbaseball.com
Click on the schedule and let me know what date is best for all.
I would pick a May 15th game at 7:05 PM , an exhibition game.
This will be a, 'Tanks' for your service an Armed Forces day celebration presented buy Cub Foods.
Reserved seats are $8. Prettry good deal if you ask me.
Dwight:dancin:
OK so we discussed a date for doing MAC does baseball at Midway last night at the monthly meeting.
What we agreed on was a June date. So the home games are; June 11th at 7:05 PM playing Lincoln NE, and 12th & 13th with the 23rd through 26th playing Soiux City IA, and the 27th through the 30th playing Gary IN
What'aya think??
Da prez
OK, so now Valley Fair is behind us. We don't have one of our events until June 6th.
So what about Saturday June 12th?

Indeed. June 19 is the bonanza day for me. I think the MAC event is one of the things that is getting booted.
But, but, June 19th is an 'away game. We've got to do it on June, 11, 12, 13, 24, 26, 27, 28.
Pick one day.

Out of those dates, the only one that works for my overbooked family is June 24th.

Follow the bread crumbs, Dwight. June 19 is a MOWOG autocross at All Right. I was saying that I am so booked that day that I will not be at the autocross. Wedding, Back to the 50s, and several other things.
BTW, we want to get reserved seats so we can tailgate in comfort and not worry about having to get into the stadium early to stake out seats.

Prez,
Week nights are much better than weekends.
The 24th of June is a Thursday! I'm in for that night.
Heck with that peanuts and crackerjacks thing, maybe we can get Phil to do his legendary Pylon Dance for the 7th inning stretch! Or maybe he can run bases in his Lotus! Ok, never mind!
I’m in if you go with the 24th, four tickets. If not, I'm out!!
Darryl
OK, so how about the two Friday night games?
The 11th, or the 25th?

My 'social director' plays softball on Thursday night's. So then I couldn't make it. Well without her yaaa.

Still waiting to see if my tickets for the Antiques Roadshow come through. It's a lottery, and I don't know when they will tell us if we have won.
