For the last several years we have had a BBQ at my place in Rice Lake following the first CVSCC event of the season, and this year will be no exception. RSVP to this thread so we have an idea of how many burgers/brats to have ready. As usual, we will have burgers and brats on the grill, a variety of drinking options, (grain based and non-grain based), chips and goodies, and a drawing for valuable prizes, as well as bench racing on the deck.

Everyone who shows up gets 1 entry into the drawing, for $5 you can get an extra entry. There will also be a free will offering for the meal. All $$$ raised goes to the Paul fund, so come by, donate for the food, and buy a few extra drawing tickets, its all for a good cause.

There will be plenty of room on the deck and yard, if the weather is not so nice, the party will move indoors, to the finished basement and livingroom. I will print out maps to hand out at the event, but if you want to surf up a map, our address is: 335 Hilltop Dr, Rice Lake, WI. 54868.

Next weekend is the event. I was talking with Pat the other day, he's in, Steve Buetow and Amy are in.

I saw a bunch of silly english cars up in the washburn/ashland area yesterday, and wondered if they were part of your cross country adventure...
German cars were invited, too!

Not my big adventure this Fall. This was the European vintage car Rendezvous. This year it was staged by the Minnesota Austin-Healey Club. Next year it will be in Thunder Bar Ontario. Sue and I will probably not go, since it will conflict with the Back to The Fifties Weekend.

The convention center was the AmericaInn on the east edge of Ashland.

Sue and I drove the TR4 to Gurney WI on this trip, since she is a Gurney.

We were testing the rental motorhome this weekend, so we parked it and the trailer at the Top of the Morn resort near Iron River and drove the TR4 in to Ashland from there.

Put me as a definite maybe, Mini's 50th birthday party starts Monday in Winona so I may have to go there instead. The Show and Shine is Tuesday from 10 to 3 at St. Yon's field on the St Mary's campus for anyone interested.

Since the Mini convention is a once-every-five-years thing, and the next one could be in Atlanta or Los Angeles, I wouldn't fault you for going there.
