I am planning on being there :dancin: in my Civic :zzz

My Mini is supposedly "on the boat", but I don't think it'll make in time for Sunday. But a guy can hope :D

I was thinking about going to Milwaukee, but according to mapquest it's about an hour further each way for me than going to sandpiper. I do want to run at Miller Park, but I figure maybe I'll wait until I have the Mini, so then I can maybe run with some of those guys.

I'd like to run against Jim Harn, I think he's pretty quick. It's fun to see how you compare to the really fast guys in your class. Assuming he's still running an HS mini. I think a couple other chicago hotshoes are getting into HS Mini's this year, so it should be a real eye opener for me down there!

You'll have plenty of chances. Between Milwaukee SCCA and WAI, there are 14 Solo2 events scheduled for Miller Park this year, including a couple two-day events (July 17-18 and July 24-25). BTW - neither two-day is opposite a DMVR or MAC event. :D

Nope, there were plenty of volunteers, so I stayed blissfully silent. ;)
I will be there from late morning onward Saturday.

p.s. Looks like I have my work cut out for me in Milwaukee - Chris Fenter's running in STX this year, so I'll have to be faster than last year to win. Already 7 STX cars registered for Sunday, so we'll probably have 10 or more at the event. Competition is good. :)

I think everything I eat for the next week will be a little bit crunchier than normal. :oneeye:

So other than the grit --- how was it???

It was better than the first event. You had to turn left AND right. Also, there were far fewer DNF's, and Alex and I had 4 runs. However, they called the event in the middle of 4th runs, due to the sand storm issue. Chris may have only taken 3 runs, I don't remember seeing his 4th...

I was second in line to launch when they called it. I understand why they did. I really would have liked that fourth run though.

Results are up:

They dropped the 4th run times for those of us who had 4th runs. Too bad, since my 4th run was my fastest :D Oh well.

I guess my name is "Alexis Kucera."

The class looks right, the times look right, I don't even want to know how they got it that wrong. :oneeye:

I'm guessing that it had something to sand in the keyboard :cone:
