The first MOWOG of the year is coming up on Sunday, April 25th at Midway Stadium. With the Novice School the weekend before, and Valleyfair the weekend after - this event hasn't received much attention yet. To ensure everything goes smoothly, we want to start a signup thread early, to ensure we have all the necessary volunteers in place well in advance of the event. We'll update the following list periodically, as people confirm/volunteer. If we've already listed your name below, please find a replacement, if you are unable to attend the event. For the listings with a "?", we need volunteers!

Chief Start Marshal - Paul Weidner
Chief Technical Inspector - Lee Frisvold

Steve,
Put me down for registration and Chief Start Marshal IF Chief start Marshal duties are not needed until the drivers meeting and later, otherwise just registration. Remember the first few MOWOGs will have lots of members joining (and they need to fill out a membership form, trying to keep track via event registration forms is a headache).

Thanks Dave

This year I'd like to tag team (2-3 techs) each car so we can get the cars thru faster.
Keith Beumer and I did that towards the end of last year and it really cut the time down per car. Anybody can help tech so if your interested please sign up.This goes with any of the job needs at our autocrosses as the faster we can get the tasks done the faster we can get to knocking down cones:dancin: :dancin:

Steve,

Can you make it to Midway by 7 AM to help unload the trailer & set up the course? We should be done by 8:30 AM, so you'll have plenty of time to socialize & get ready for the event.

I'd like to work on the tech "tag team" crew. That was one of the things that impressed me most about the Milwaukee events last season. They had two tech lines, each with 3-4 techs that swarmed over each car and usually put an inspection sticker on it in less than a minute. Drivers waiting for inspection rarely had to wait more than 2-3 minutes to get to the head of the line. That approach really kept things moving, even though they had close to 200 entries. We could do that too, if we get 6-8 volunteers. The quicker the cars get inspected, the sooner the tech inspectors can get out to walk the course.

Thanks Drew
We will have a different color printed per event tags to put on the car.
The more teching the better as it is another bottleneck.

I can either help with car numbers at Registration or do the Novice Course Walk if Bob and Pat are not around.

I'll put you down as the Numbers Czar for registration. There will likely be quite a bit of activity at the first event of the year.

Phil,
I usually print out a formatted copy of your list, do you want me to do that or will you do so?

I'll be there early enough to help tech, and I can also do the novice walk, unless Phil wants to take a turn at it.

Steve,

You are going to have to take me off the list. I won't
be able to make this one.
