OK...I think it's about time we put the call out to get our annual Novice School lineup of instructors committed. (Many do need to be committed!) :)
Here's how it works...please PM me through the forum's private message thingy. I will see how many responses I accumilate and will then send out a note to everyone letting them know if they will be needed or not.
Duties: Ride along with our students Sunday April 26th. Three runs groups of about 16.6 drivers per group, so if we get 15 or 16 instructors, it would be super. We will be working on basics only, so while a few years experience is needed, qualification is not based on your competitiveness so much as your ability to communicate, being supportive and positive, and to help the students establish good basic skills. And have fun!! Additionally, we need at least a few to show up at the class on Saturday. Let's the students get a look at you, plus we need help doing tech inspection after the class.
Lunch will be provided. As a bonus, instructors are given the opportunity to run their own cars during the lunch break in order to demonstrate to the students what a competitive autocross run looks like. Must have a student in the car, and it's not a test and tune or a competition...it's for demonstration purposes.
I do need a volunteer (s) to arrange and bring lunch to the site on Sunday. This is super important!!!
Additionally, we will need some supervisory and instructing help in the timing trailer as timing and scoring are work assignments we want to get the students into.
So:
- Lunch: x
- Timing and scoring (2 or 3): x
- Course set up (3): x
- Course clean up and pack (3) : x
- Drive truck to and from event: x
Send PM to Pat to volunteer for instructing.
Thank you everyone in advance. This is by far the best school offered anywhere in my opinion, and it's only because we have such a great goup of talented and generous volunteers!! Feel free to ask me any questions, thanks!!!
