Sadly I will be absent from this happy gathering... 2 reasons:
1) I'll be leaving for lovely and scenic Arkansas to assist with remaining claims from the recent ice storms there. Never much fun to be on the last wave of adjusters on something like this- no one likes to be last in line, and the home owners are going to be a bit cranky by now, I expect, plus you get all the "backseaters", claims that look ugly in person when you are driving thru the area, or on paper, so the prior adjuster just tossed them in the back seat of the car, and didn't do anything with them other than re-assign them to you when they leave the territory.
and
2) I really, REALLY need to be doing this, as Nancy went to the Dr. today, and yes, her good knee is tweeked, so more surgery, March 30, so more deductibles and "motor" money being re-allocated. The OT and storm bonus will be needed to buy back a knee more than it will be useful for more motor bits. And of course this Dr. is certain he can improve on the bad knee as well, so now she's thinking of having that one done after the good knee is done and working again after the PT. If there's a 2-3 month recovery time for this, that means 2-3 months of her not working. (self employed). Times 2. Wonderful. There goes her paycheck for the summer. (potentially).
(good thing at least ONE of our sports cars runs...)
I'll see if Sitz will be at the meeting to give an update on the Paul school, and if not, I can send Lee a note to add to the meeting.

Dave, sorry to here about Nancy's knee, hope all goes well. But on the bright side she woun't be able to drive a manual transmission car for a while so the Miata seat should be open for you!

ooooooooohhhhhh........ Mark, if I still have teeth when I get back, I'll have to have a few words with you about that one...
I'll likely be spending considerable time in TES with her car, as my $$$ will be better spent on knees than engines this year. I may have to try to mooch a buck run in your beast just to get some mid engine magic back in my life.

Of course you'd welcome to buck runs, or perhaps a co-drive at an event if you'd like.
Seriously though, getting Nancy's knee's fixed up is understandably the most important thing. There will be plenty of time for the PPP (Power Packed Porsche) later.
Dave
Who's Tes(s)
I hope Nancy's recovery is short
Good Luck on your trip;)

....There will be plenty of time for the PPP (Power Packed Porsche) later. Don't you mean the SMPV (slightly more powerful VW)? :p
BTW - Lee won't be at the February meeting, so if anyone has updates/topic to discuss, send them my way.

Tes(s) is, ah, well, um, oh, nevermind.
I hope her recovery is REAL short, as being self employed, there is no ST or LT disability coverage, so each day she is not painting is a day farther from done for the motor... that being the PPP version, not the SMPV version.
:( Sorry to hear about Nancy's knees. Health is more important than driving around in parking lots.
