For those of you who don't know us, SCI Performance is a VW/Audi Tuning and repair shop in Minneapolis. Check us out at www.sciperformance.com We've added Rota wheels as a new product line. They can be seen here: www.rotawheels.com
I'm sure a lot of drivers are familiar with the product as Rota produces a number of lightweight, inexpensive wheels, and now there is a place to get them locally. There are few styles that aren't shown on the website too, so if anything sparks your interest, give me a call. We can be reached at 612.722.8897.
And so you know, I'm not just some dude who's trying to sell you crap, I run the gold '79 VW Scirocco at most MAC events. Just wanted to make the fact known. Thanks.

I have a set of Rota Circuit 8's I run on the street and some Koenig Heliums with Azenis I run during track season. Yes, the Rota line is fairly inexpensive and light.
Do you happen to have replacement Rota center caps in stock?

As far as I know, the GT3 is only available in a 16x7". We haven't received any info from Rota to the contrary.
Ben, noticed you don't have pricing on the website, yet. Can you give a list of prices? I am personally looking for one Tarmac II in 17x7.5... Thanks.

Jon, if you could give me a call at work tomorrow, that would be really great. Online shopping is something whe've thaought about, but have no idea how to implement.
Christian and Stryker, I'll have some prices for you tomorrow. I only check this board at home, and I don't have access to the dealer stuff there. Thanks for the interest.

I'm looking for some street wheels for my Mini (which should be here next week or so).
As a VW shop, do you guys happen to have any of those BBS wheels that the early 90's GTI's were coming with, and I think some Corrados had them, too? You know what I mean, those mesh style wheels? I can't seem to find any new wheels that look like those, even BBS doesn't seem to make anything like that anymore (?) - not that I'd spend $300/wheel right now, but you know.
If you guys have a nice looking set of those for a reasonable price, I might be interested!
Sorry for the off-topicage :cone:

No BBS's for sale right now Roger, sorry. In addition to the Rota, we also carry Team Dynamics wheels. VW BBS's only came in 15" sizes. If you're looking for 15" wheels we have some pretty reasonable prices on new stuff. Call me if you get a chance, 612-722-8897

Ben, if I find something I like I'll give you a call. I really like the Rota "RB" (a total panasport knock-off), but the rota website says it's only available in 13X8, which is great for an SP car, but is a totally strange size for a street car these days.
I am looking for a 15" wheel, but so far I haven't found much that I like, aside from those old BBS wheels.

The only thing that makes me wonder is that those are apparently going to be 15X7's, which may be a little bit wide for the Mini OEM 175/?/15 tires :sarc
Does anyone know if a tire that skinny on a wheel that wide is okay?
Ben, I think I just found the wheels I want ;)

Most aftermarket 15" wheels you're going to find are 6.5 or 7 inches wide. The stock 15's are only 5.5" wide with a 175/65-R15 tire. Since these are street wheels, who says you have to run a 175mm tire? A 205/55-15 Tire would have almost exactly the same overall diameter at the 175/65, and would fit on a 6.5-7" wheel much better. Wheel offset will determine whether that much tire will fit under the arches of your MINI. The Cooper S runs a 205/45-17, so it should work with the right wheel.
