This is a call for volunteers interested in serving as Event Masters and/or Course Designers for 2009 MAC Events. I'd like to have these key volunteer positions lined up for all events in the next 30 days. Below is a list of Events, with designated Event Masters & Course Designers noted, in cases where volunteers have already stepped forward. Any spots shown in red still need to be filled/confirmed. Please note, the Event Master and Course Designer DO NOT need to be the same person.

Members who wish to work as co-EM's are encouraged to do so. In such cases, I will ask that one person be officially designated as Event Master and the other as Chief of Course/Course Designer.

Members who haven't been an Event Master before, but want to learn the ropes, are encouraged to volunteer as an Assistant EM. If you don't have an experienced member lined up to team with, just let me know you're interested, and I'll see what I can do to match you up with someone.

Dave, If you're going to take on both roles, I want you to designate an Assistant EM. That site is large enough that it's hard to find one person sometimes.

Dang, lots of spots taken already. Go ahead and put me down for assistant EM at MOWOG9. I can also "co-assist" at M1 and M2 if needed, I suppose... or if Pat or Steve want a break for once, I can EM one of them.

07/26/09 SoloPro Comp School - CVTC (Eau Claire)

I put you down for M9. Pat and I seem to have Valleyfair figured out pretty well, so I'll stick with those events.

The deal with the Comp Schools is that we need someone that's not taking the course that day to keep everything running for the SoloPro guys. I'll be taking the school on Sunday, which is why I need someone that day. It will be pretty easy, as there are only 10-15 students. You game?

I can do the 6/7 or the 7/5 events if you want to put Alex Awsumb down for one/both. The teen school would be best, my 17yr old brother in law plans to attend and start autoxing this season.

This is a reminder that we still need some volunteers for key event management positions throughout the season, including an EM for the Test & Tune coming up on May 10th. Please volunteer early & often. :)

We STILL need an Event Master for the May 10th Test & Tune. Come on guys & gals, we really need someone to step forward & manage this event!

We also need an EM for MOWOG 3, Course Designers for MOWOG 6 & the 08/29 Test & Tune, and an Assistant EM for MOWOG 5.

***Extra Incentive***
For those who aren't aware, volunteers who serve as an Event Master receive a free entry to the MOWOG or Test & Tune event of their choice. You just need to let Dave Kral or myself know which event you want a free entry to - we will even register you early!

I can do double-duty and do Course Design at M6 so long a Jody can handle EM'ing the setup process - which I have every confidence she can. Then I'll take over as EM for the meeting and after. That's the fun part of being EM anyway.
