Now that the awards party is done and the '08 season has been officially completed, it's time to find a co-driver for '09. I'm looking for someone to co-drive the EBS for at least two Divisional events (Lincoln & Milwaukee) and Solo Nationals. If someone wants to co-drive at additional events, I'm open to that as well. The EBS is a nationally competitive XP car that just received a fresh engine late last season, and is getting new shocks, anti-swaybars and subframe bracing this winter. For those who haven't driven it, the EBS is a very well-behaved vehicle, with the only real challenge being modulation of the go pedal. (That, and the challenge of wiping the silly grin off your face from going so fast. :D )
I already have the car, tow vehicle, enclosed trailer & tools - so I'm just looking for a co-driver to help out at events and share tire & travel costs.
Email or PM me if interested.
-Steve
p.s. Actual tire costs work out to about $12/run.

With a couple other recent postings for co-drivers, don't forget about this one. Far faster & more rewarding to drive than an overweight sedan on street tires. FAR easier to fit in than an oversized go-kart. Cushy tow vehicle. (You can recline in back & watch videos on the way to events!) What's not to like?

Seeing y'all mud wrestling for co-drivers makes me feel grateful to already have such awesome teammates. :rockon
Now, back to you're regularly scheduled tussling. Should be good fun to watch. :p

Having driven Steve's car in the past I can say it is a screaming giggle of a ride (screaming when you step on the loud peddle, giggle as the adrenaline fades...). As fast as the car is it is well behaved and *could* be considered easy to drive, and it WILL teach you some throttle control (or show you that you NEED to learn it).

You could say that his lights have a superior black out though.
what do you have to say for your snow blowing go kart now?

It's still faster.Can't deny that.
It still sounds like a leaf blower and has a cockpit designed by the Marquis de Sade. :p

I've never heard a 90 H.P. leaf blower but I guess it could sound like one. And the cockpit is actually really comfortable! Ask Gretchen she said she could take a nap in it and may even be able to drive it with a periscope..

Maybe you have some heavy leaves to blow? :D The cockpit reminds me of an MRI tube... except slightly noisier...
I don't know if it's louder than an MRI tube even standing outside of the room:lol:

It's not 90hp, but these leaf blower-powered drag racers are pretty hilarious.

I will second that it is comfortable once you are it. Not the easiest to get in and out of, but I can't wait to drive one. The best thing is we should have 4 solid local cars and maybe 6-8 drivers making a fun local class.
Geez, you'd think you were talking about one of these... :p
