Looks like Evolution just opened up registration for some of their 2009 schools, including some in Lincoln. (I think I may hit the dial-in school to help get the bimmer set up)

Have we figured out if we're hosting a Phase 2 or challenge this year?

Have we figured out if we're hosting a Phase 2 or challenge this year? Neither.

For 2009, MAC will be co-hosting two advanced one-day schools in Eau Claire with CVSCC. The lead instructor will be Tim Aro, and the curriculum will be loosely based on his Extreme School, with curriculum customized for MAC. Tim recently sold his interest in Evolution, and will be providing training for MAC and a limited number of other clubs, with the assistance of several other top-flight instructors. At the November Membership meeting, we voted to work with Tim vs. Evolution for '09 - based on our close relationship with Tim, and the fantastic reviews we've received for his past work with MAC.

The location and dates for our advanced schools have now been finalized.

Dates:
July 25 (10 driver limit)
July 26 (10 driver limit)

Location:
Chippewa Valley Technical College
Clairmont Avenue lot

Prerequisites:
A minimum of two seasons prior autocross experience recommended

Registration will open 60 days prior to the events.

More details to follow in coming weeks.

-Steve

Steve do you know if you will need a 2 seat (or more) vehicle or would a single seater work for the planed school?

Can't tell you how thrilled I am that MAC's and Tim's instruction is being offered in conjunction with the CVSCC. :rockon

Now, hopefully I'll have the money to attend and can get in. 10-driver limit is pretty small and I know a lot of people will be vying for a spot.

Not sure. I'll put that on the list of questions for Tim, when we start nailing down the details. It may be a month or two until we know all the details, but trust me, I have a pretty good idea what members are looking for, and we'll make sure this course is worth the investment.

One clarification - each day will be a standalone class - so we'll have 20 total openings, not 10.
