I'll try and describe this as eloquently as possible, but don't worry if you are confused, our events will have ample informational signage!!!

1. As you enter the lot you will sign the waiver and get a bracelet. You will do this IN YOUR CAR, you will not park your car first, you will not do anything (phile: "you will not pass go, you will not collect $200!") until the waiver is signed.

2. After you sign the waiver you will receive a handout (yeah, yeah, teacher lingo) that explains the registration process, what you need to do to pass tech, and some other informational stuff. If you have not registered online, you will get a blank registration form.

3. Next you park your car,. get out and head straight for the registration tables. You will not get your car ready for tech yet. We want you to register as soon as possible so we can get everyone into the computer correctly and begin on time.

4. There will be 4 registration tables: 1) pre-registered and pre-paid; 2) pre-registered, still need to pay; 3) Did not pre-register; 4) numbers and classes help

5. Here you register, pay, get your work assignment, and get any help you need figuring out your car class or car number.

6. Then you go and prepare your car for the day. We would like to emphasize that your car needs to be presented for tech inspection AS IT WILL BE DRIVEN IN COMPETITION.

7. Drive over to the tech area and have your car inspected. Once you pass, you should go and walk the course.

There you go! If you have any questions or concerns about this, lets talk about them now so we don't run into any major problems at our first event.

Thanks! Nikki

Way to take the bull by the horns and take a stand!!! Just a couple ?'s from me. Will you have 4 people to be at the reg. tables for every event, (and if so, congrats!) or will those at the tables have to work a swing shift between the sign up lines. Also, if you are planning to sign up people for course worker positions, will there be handouts or at least a short lecture on what the differernt position responsibilities are? I mention this thinking that if tech is last on the list, the starter, grid chief, or whatever title you give the person at the start of the course should have as part of their duties to be sure to look for the sticker showing tech had been passed. I don't know if a check list for the starter w/run groups, car #'s , and drivers would be good, so they could check off cars correctly teched, or if the starter should initial the tech sticker on each car's first run to show it had been checked, or if just being sure that that person was aware they needed to check for tech would be enough. As well as checking for seatbelts and helmets (with straps tightened).

See ya at the meeting tomorrow.

Nikki and others: Great job! I was hoping you would arrive at a sensable system that appears to be the very same procedure usesd by most other clubs. Thanks for all your hard work on this....looking forward to a well organized and efficient system this year!
