The Latest News (Updated 11/13/08):

(11/13/08) - Next IIRA Board Meeting to be held today, Thursday 9/18/08, 7:00 PM at Bill and Margaret Gibson's house.
Come out this winter and try your hand at rubber-to-ice racing! All you need is a decent road car with at least a 4 point roll bar and 4 point safety harness running on any DOT approved tire. More complete rules and details will be published in the near future.
(9/16/08) - Tire News - The latest word is that Menard tires will be available again this season from the usual source. We will verify this and keep you posted.

I will be racing at least one, possibly two weekends in a studded tire car, and if I get everything ese finished before the end of the season, I might have my SE-R out for a rubber-to-ice event (gotta finish the cage and weld up the diff and maybe rework the bottom end to raise compression).

The Latest News (Updated 2/12/09):

# (2/12/09) - This weekend's event on Lake Washington in Mankato, Minnesota is shaping up to be a good one. We have lost most of our snow, but there is still plenty of ice. Along with our studded racing, there promises to be a good field of rubber to ice cars this weekend. Also expect to see racers from as far away as Alberta, Canada. We will be racing out of the Westwood Bar & Marina, and the race will benefit the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter.
