Is there such a thing as a hot import? (heheh) Sorry I couldn't resist. I will be off doing whatever wife wants me to do. Due to a full weekend next weekend.

Looks like fun. To bad I am in Tulsa this weekend. Might be able to get this project wrapped up and early and visit Hallett tomorrow.

Anyway to each is their own. Some people like Hot Rods or Vintage cars why can't others like Imports? RDub and JCN seem to like them all which is very cool.

I showed my car along with a huge group...4 Boosted Focus, One SVT Focus, a 2.5 Rabbit, a 500hp A6, Twin Turbo Z350 and a Twin TurboG35. And another clean 350Z...Along with a smooth SRT4...

I did'nt thing it was a bad turnout...

And there were alot of nice cars, not just primer Hondas like most might be thinking...

Heres mine sitting in the booth...

I really wanted to go.....got there at 5:30.....the line to get in was huge....
standing in a non-moving line for 5minutes...a nice guy who work there asked if we had tickets...nope.....you have to go to the booth up the hall and buy them.
no line there...good....$25.00 each ...so $50.00 for my wife and I???????
decided not .
I wanted to see a car show ,not a "lifestyle party" with cars as the backdrop
My mistake

I know I haven't been as attentive as I should be this year... but fill me in on your hood[s]

Its only the one hood...I had it on the wagon for one MOWOG while my wagon hood was getting painted.

Really, the hood is just a giant middle finger at going with the tread. Its really a more popular style over in Europe among the VW crowd. Its not real popular over here, alot of people are close minded about stuff like this.

Kind of like the "primer'd Hondas" you referred to before? :p

I might try that on the ITR. ;)

But...really, I like it -- it'd be cool if you could keep the patina, but avoid the bubbling and holes that usually come with unchecked rust. Maybe a matte clearcoat?

I've had the hood on all summer, and it has'nt had any problems. The car is garaged, and hardly gets driven in rain. So I've not had any problems with rusting thru or holes starting.:D
