I know last year there was a Tiki theme or something along those lines so when I signed up this morning I was wondering if there will be a theme for this years M9 so that I can prepare accordingly.

Do you have any suggestions?

Since it is an election year we could do a patriotic theme (without becoming political). We could do a Mardi Gras theme or a decades theme, say a 1970's theme; bell bottoms, Scooby Doo, horrible cars. Oops, never mind that part.

In the 70's it seemed that the best automotive years were all behind us but we were wrong. Now is the good old days, maybe for all time. Viva internal combustion.

Dinosaurs...

Since our cars run on their liquidy remains it would be like paying homage to them.

Maybe ferns would be more appropriate. Most of the biomass that became petroleum was vegitable, not animal. ;)

Way to be a buzz kill :(

I think most of us were aware of that but it is no where near as fun to talk about your car being powered by ferns than powered by dinosaur blood :)

Considering how many mile your Fiat has actually driven in the past few years, I'd say it's probably more eco-friendly than any of the rest of the club. ;)

Miata theme.

So we all have to dress up like, um, guys who like guys better than girls, or searataries?

Not this year.

Not sure what a searatareie is (something special in MS?), but isn't there a Miata in the Parson's family?

Perhaps we should stay with the artist theme, Buffet last year, who should it be this year?

I'm not sure what a searatareie is either. sleep deprived typing. I was intending to identify an "executive assistant"

Speaking of spelling, I don't know if the "Parsos's" family has a miata.

In the Parsons household, my wife owns one...

Sorry about the spelling Dave. Well at Nat's one of the venders had some really cool shirts with 914's on them. If your interested his site is www.Loustuff.com , also has a bunch of other cars too. Had a Mini convertable with 4 orange cones in it going around a course worker, had the caption "what cones dream of".

Hope all is well for you down south, hurry back so we can see the 914T back in action.

Checked out the site, saw a cool 914 illustration, but the mini was not posted up, or at least I didn't find it.

Still working on the powers that be for an early release by one day so I can make the CV event. Hopeful but not holding my breath.

Theme? Nate and I had a long meeting this pm about that... updates on the way..
