Prokart League

I've set up a prokart league at the burnsville location. I have set up one before and 16-18 drivers works well. I set it up for Wed @ 9pm and starts on Nov 5th. It will run for 6 weeks. You can have a sub drive for you if you can't make a race night. Normally we split the field in half to run 2 heats and an LCQ. The top 4 are taken from the 2 heats to go into the main along with the top 2 from the lcq making 10 total in the main. Each race is 25 laps or so with warm up laps and grid starting. It runs on a point system like a championship so every race counts. The start up fee on the first night is around $50 then $25 each following week. If you're interested but think it's not worth it, trust me it is. Normal prices for non members is $18.50. In the league you are guaranteed to race 2 times so you're already getting a deal. If you go to the lcq and then make it to the final then you're racing 3 times for $23 which is a steal. Another fact that makes this better than just going there on a random day is that all the drivers are fast. You won't have to worry about slow drivers or people who are just goofing around. Too early for me to think about that, autox season isn't over yet...
I think normally people here set up a sunday league, and another one during the week, with timing to maximize attendance.

Yeah, the wed at 9pm thing is what may stop me. I work on crosstown and live in Champlin. This means I pretty much would either have to drive all the way home, eat, drive all the way to Burnsville, race then drive all the way back to champlin. Either that or eat out and try to find time to burn until 9pm. A sunday league would be much better for me, which I think is what they did last year with the group.

What's the time table for dates and such? My job currently has a 3 week rotation right now so i'm working every night once every 3 weeks, but I've been referred to a new job internally, and just applied for it in burnsville, might be back to m-f 9-5ish... If that goes thru i'm game.

The league will start on Wed Nov 5th at 9pm. Then every following wed at 9PM for 6 weeks( nov 12th, 19th, 26th, dec 3rd, and 10th). Now on the 19th we will check to see if enough people will be in town for the 26th since the 27th is thanksgiving. If no, we'll skip the 26th and add a week onto the end. Making the last race night Dec 17th. That work?

I might be interested in a Saturday or Sunday morning league, but as dman pointed out, it's too early for me to start thinking about this yet...
