From another post I would gather that proposals 1 and 3 are going to the met counsel for a vote, and that this would occur this coming monday. Correct? Will the other met counsel clubs vote yes or no at that meeting, or do they need to take the proposals to their members for review, discussion, and more time added to the process? Also, other items discussed at the meeting? "THE BIG ONE", pat w's little valley fair afair? Season schedules? Anything else of interest? Bummed I had to miss it, and, the train wreck that thru and fri were shaping up to be turned out not to be, so I could have made it afterall, if one person had made one phone call to me last week...:(

>From another post I would gather that proposals 1 and 3 are going to the met counsel for a vote, and that this would occur this coming monday. Correct?

Correct.

>Will the other met council clubs vote yes or no at that meeting,

Yes.

>or do they need to take the proposals to their members for review, discussion, and more time added to the process?

No, that time is past. Each of the club delegates should have his club's decision by now.

>Also, other items discussed at the meeting? "THE BIG ONE", pat w's little valley fair affair?

Yes. Scheduled for May 2. This date is shown incorrectly on the calendar on the club website.

We set the entry fee. I recall that it will be 30 dollars pre-registration and 35 dollars on the day of the event. No discounts or free entries for anyone. We will be setting this up on the net soon for pre-registration.

>Season schedules?

A lot of that should be discussed at the Met Council meeting Monday.

>Anything else of interest?

Our fearless Secretary should have the minutes available soon.

>Bummed I had to miss it, and, the train wreck that thru and fri were shaping up to be turned out not to be, so I could have made it afterall, if one person had made one phone call to me last week...

I hate when that happens.

The other major items of interest (at least those that I can recall):

1. Novice School set for April 17-18 $45

2. May 2nd Event ($30 adv. $35 day of event. no special prices for MAC members or comp for Board Members)

3. Online registration AND pre-payment in 2004 for ALL events and annual memberships.

4. Standard event rates: $20 members, $30 non-members (same as last year)
$5 surcharge for both rates, day of events.

Assuming the event dates get set at the Monday Met Council Meeting, I should have ALL 2004 events listed in MyAutoEvents.com by the end of next week. I assume Jon will get them on the MAC website in a similar timeframe.

Another way (better way?) to look at the vote is...

The MAC rep to the Met Council is going to the Monday meeting with a YES vote on proposals 1 & 3 and a NO vote on proposal #2. The other clubs attending should have votes ready for the three proposals too. Any proposal getting a majority YES vote (a tie DOES NOT pass) will be incorporated into the 2004 rules.
